Sylvia has been a professional painter and textile artist for more than forty years and is delighted to be showing her textile art in Maldon where she attended the Plume school in the 1970's.

Edd (1938-2021) sailed the East Coast as a yachtsman for more than forty years owning five wooden boats over that time, the last one a Blackwater Sloop built in the 1960's in Maldon Essex.
As well as our regular Craft shop there will be Christmas items: quality handmade crafts, paintings, books, ceramics, fused glass, cards and much more.
There will be an exhibition of small quilts, wall hangings and many other patchwork items.
A familiar scene can appear to be entirely different, depending upon so many factors: time of day, time of year, personal mood, individual perception and so on. Sometimes we want to see something more than the obvious: sometimes we don’t.
The Thames Sailing Barge Trust who operate the Maldon based barges Centaur and Pudge are holding an exhibition entitled ‘Red Sails Over The Blackwater’,

This exhibition features textile and mixed media pieces exploring what each artist finds magical about gardens. The Material Girls hope visitors to the exhibition will enjoy leaving their troubles at the door and step into ‘The Enchanted Garden’.
