Christmas is all wrapped up for you again this year at the Maeldune Heritage Centre. Extra special, locally made, handcrafted gifts, beautiful, original and unique.
As well as our regular Craft shop there will be Christmas items: quality handmade crafts, paintings, books, ceramics, fused glass, cards and much more.
Heritage Open Days is England's largest festival of history and culture, bringing together over 2,000 organisations, 5,000 events and 40,000 volunteers. Every year in September, places across the country throw open their doors to celebrate their heritage, community and history. It’s your chance to see hidden places and try out new experiences – and it’s all FREE.
Visitors will be able to hear about Maritime Heritage at the Maeldune Heritage Centre in a variety of ways with individual or group talks on the Maldon Embroidery, oral history recordings to sit and listen to, view Maldon Society’s visual archives on the wide screen monitor or see the daily displays outside.
