Selected Works by Tim Copsey.

An exhibition of photography in aid of charitable causes.

Biography

Tim Copsey is a British Fashion and portrait photographer. A passionate believer in creative image making, he has many years’ experience of photographing fashion, portraits and theatre. Tim has been published in magazines/newspapers in the UK and overseas. He is probably best known for his monochrome image making but can produce high impact colour photographs as well. He loves the artistic process of making images that have a narrative or intrigue and is not excited by cameras or equipment. Tim has learned over the years that the best photographs arise from the connection he can create with his subjects and the benefit of having a good, professional but also fun atmosphere during photoshoots.   In addition to being a photographer Tim has dedicated many years to campaigning to protect green spaces from inappropriate development. He has a great love for the local environment and natural habitat.

Motivation

The Selected Works exhibition was encouraged by Tim’s daughter Hannah Main. She wanted to celebrate her father’s success in coming through a major health challenge and wanted to see a selection of his work showcased, finding the perfect venue in the Maeldune Heritage Centre. The other key aim was to raise donations for a cancer charity.

The images in the exhibition reflect the passion Tim has for photographing people but also his admiration for the natural world.
